Advertisements

The advertisements below all came from my three advertisement classes at SVA. I will have more information about the: task, insights, hooks, and anything else I feel might be interesting or important plus extras such as creation process but for this page I want my works to speak for themselves.

Motion Graphics

Wilkins Coffee Advertising Motion Graphics

Taking a old series of advertisements for Wilkins Coffee I practice using the Duik Bassel.2 puppet and control tools for the first time. I selected these advertisements due to how the two characters were memorable, able to quickly have a effective ad that is less than 10 seconds each (important skill for the online ads and how short some ads can be nowadays), plus my respect for Jim Henson who worked on the original advertisements.

‘To Be or Not To Be’ Opening Animation

My first major Motion Graphic Project for my first semester learning After Effects. In this project we had to take a book and make an film adapted opening sequence. About a 1:00 to 1:15 was the time limit.

To Be or Not To Be is a Choose your Adventure book. A comedy based on Hamlet with three possible characters to be your protagonist: Ophelia, Hamlet, and Hamlet SR.

A major learning experience and as I gain further experience with multiple forms and tools of motion graphics I’ll look back part happy of my first accomplishments and some unease of my past works due to knowing better & gained skills.

Exquisite Corpse: Inside Olympics (Curling)

Inspired by how Sports & the Olympics have been canceled or push back yet people still need to be entertained and active somehow while indoors during COVID-19 the idea for a “Inside Olympics” came into being. I pitch this idea to my Motion Graphics Class as part of the assigned Exquisite Corpse possibilities and it was selected.

I was part of two separate teams that created two separate 10 second sections. This one is inspired by Curling. Currently has no music as the full video of everybody’s projects would have music over it but I plan to place in music when I find a suitable short score for this part.

Exquisite Corpse: Inside Olympics (Synchronized Swimming)

The Second Team I was on for the Exquisite Corpse Project. Influenced by Zoom Meetings and how around the world everybody is being affected the concept of a Worldwide Zoom Synchronized Swimming came to mind. This one originally had music independently but after changing up the dance multiple times the original choice didn’t fit any longer and a new one will be selected at a later time.

The Resume below was designed when I was a Sophomore. The New version above has since been created as images & lines in a designed resume does not sync well with computer algorithms.

My signature

My Sliding Block Puzzle Self Portrait Acrylic Painting

My Old Personal Logo

Made when I was a freshman. Using both ‘J’, ‘D’, & my glasses as inspiration.

Too much dead space on the sides & not being very functional when printed on small business cards made me killed it.

My New Logo

Made to replace the old Logo Mostly is used and seen on various online sites/apps such as Twitter & others where my personal signature would not very functional to represent. Again ‘J’ & ‘D’ can be found within it.

A simple gif version of my Logo

A Headshot with a touch of colors avatar icon that I’m starting to use for some social media sites based on the type of branding or personality I hope to display.
